Transferred to Tomball Texas!

Sorry for the long pause with updating the blog for Harry but he had a couple of slow weeks so their wasn't  much to update everyone about!! He recently was transferred and it was one of the hardest transfers Harry has had up to this point!! He was in Brenham for quite awhile and loved it so much....This is what he said about it:

Brenham has been my favorite place in the
mission, and it was harder leaving there than it was leaving home...
haha seriously though!! It was just rough... I really loved that
Branch and all the people I had taught there and as well as just the
geography as well! It is just a special place! And it will always hold
a special spot in my heart! I really will be going back to visit

Brenham all the time when I am home!!

He had a couple of baptisms set up before he left so his Mission President let him go back for one!! So these pictures are of his recent convert in Brenham!

He is working towards going back for another baptism that he had set up! He really loves the people in Brenham!

This was his week in Tomball:

This week was pretty good! We have been teaching a lot, but we are
just trying to continue to find people prepared. We found 5 new
investigators once again this week, so as long as we get 5 more this
week than we can get to the second baptism on the 18th! So ya! It was
pretty exciting this week with some of the miracles that happened
while we were finding! One of the things that happened was that after
a many series of prompting from the spirit we knocked on this door and
found a man named Ray and a woman named Cindy. Cindy was the mans
caretaker because he had cancer, but Cindy had told us that the only
place that she has felt the spirit was at the Mormon church and that
30 minutes before we got to the door, she had actually told ray that
they needed to go get a blessing from the mormons! So it was super
cool, definitely something that doesn't happen everyday! Also last
night we needed one more person to find and so we knocked and knocked
and knocked and knocked some more.... and it was definitely a trial of
our faith and as well as our patience! But we finally found the person
we were looking for! So hopefully they will also progress in the
gospel!

ONE YEAR DOWN!!!

Well, this crazy kid has officially  been out one year!! He absolutely loves Texas and loves his mission so much!! He has grown so much this past year! I am excited to see what this year will bring for him! Here is a little something he sent with his email this last Monday...

The only way for anyone to truly have testimony of the
Savior, a testimony of God, one must take the invitation from the Lord
and read the Book of Mormon. It is the strongest force in conversion,
and it is the only thing in the world that will help compel and
persuade people to change. Nothing will change ones soul, faith and
life more than the Book of Mormon. It is absolutely foolish for
someone to not take that invitation, because you have nothing to lose
by doing so, but everything to gain if you do. You can and will gain
peace in this life and eternal salvation in the world to come! What
better gift than that! We can gain a testimony of the Savior and know
that because of his Atonement there is hope in the world!

Love this Kid!!

Maybe Harry will take up farming in Texas???

What an animal!! hahaha

New Years and Missionary Tag Picture...Finally!!

And really though for the new year we didn't do anything, we
were just out doing the work! We tracted for a bit, and then we were
out inviting as many people as we can to get to church. Because
President Mortensen has started a new thing where from 5-9 on Saturday
nights we just focus on getting people to church! It's called
operation church and rescue! Haha but ya so that's what we did, then
we drank some sparkling cider and went to bed by 10:30! Because I a,
way to tired all the time to be able to stay up until 12!

This week was pretty good! We have been working with a lot of less
actives, and such, as well as working with the two people we have
baptismal dates with. Our investigator Christopher is getting baptized
this Saturday and we are so excited! It's been a long time coming for
sure! And then we are working with a 17 year old who's baptism is on
January 28th! So that's the main stuff we are doing as far as the work
is going.

I have been bugging him for a tag picture and this was also considered my Christmas gift because that is wanted most from him so he showed me the picture when we skyped with him and that also made my Christmas!!

Christmas/Skype!!

As far as what we are doing for Christmas we have a few families we
are going to on Christmas Day as well as Christmas Eve!  A member had us  had us go out to the car and she gave us like fifty boxes of presents they bought us! They were awesome and they had just moved from Utah! But ya she was a sweet lady and we haven't met
the husband yet because he works a ton and is always out of town, so
she is basically taking care of her their 3 kids herself! But yet she
still got us a billion gifts! Love the people here in Brenham!

Getting to Skype with Harrison was the best Christmas present ever!! He sent me and his dad gifts from Texas! Which was really sweet!! His tiny Christmas tree he had on his table that he was pretty proud of and we kept trying to get him to smile and in true Harry fashion he doesn't give it up to easy! So we have a ton of him doing his crazy smile but I got him in the end and we caught his smile!! hahaha

Thanksgiving on the Farm!!

We didn't have too many exciting things happen this week, but we did find 8 new investigators! So our finding went really well this week. The Blinn college campus was closed for the holidays so we didn't really get to go on that.

My new companion is Elder Sanchez! He is a beast! He's awesome and we are probably going to be together in Brenham for like 3 months, so I am excited about that!

We spent thanksgiving at the Knox family, who are my favorite people in the Brenham Branch! They are great, they live on a farm in the middle of nowhere.  The Branch we cover is huge, we have Brenham right in the middle and we can go 30-40 miles in any direction! And it covers a total of 5 counties It's awesome! All the members live super far away and have tons of property and animals and such!

But thanksgiving at the Knox's was a lot of fun. We had smoked turkey and brisket. It was delicious!! We got to pet all their animals, they have horses, donkeys, chickens, dogs, cats, bunnies, and geese! So it was cool!

The only thing I really missed this year was grandma's pumpkin pie!!!!

Go To The Temple....Harry said so!!

I am doing well! We had some good experiences this week, we found a
college student that has been reading the Book of Mormon and is loving
it, so we are hoping to set a date with her soon!

Other than that, we
didn't do too much, the highlight of the week was of course was
getting the chance to go through the temple! Got to love the temple!
Once again, you and dad better be making time to get the temple as
often as y'all can!  The temple is the best place in the world! So you
better be going, it makes everything better when we consistently go
and come closer to our father in Heaven!

New Area/Baptism!

Can you believe I am going
to hit my year mark in like the blink of an eye! I swear i still feel
like I have been out for only like a couple months... time is flying!
We didn't really do much for halloween, we had to be in early, so we
had to do our 3 hours of proselyting during the day, so we went out to
college station for a few hours to hang out with the district just for
a little. We just played bumper pool, ping pong, real pool and board
games at the institute building that's across the street from Texas
A&M. It's weird being back in the same place almost that I was when I
started my mission. But farther away, when I was in Bryan, Bryan is
literally the same city as College Station, they are mixed together.
But Brenham is like an hour away from College Station. We are
seriously like in the middle of nowhere, but I love it here, its nice
out here. and its really fun doing all the work on the Blinn College
Campus.

We baptized Liticia this week! She is awesome and is such a
sweetheart! So that was an awesome experience! It always is an awesome
experience to baptize new converts!
