Faith Testimony!

Having faith is not just something we believe in, its something that keeps us going, faith is what gives us hope in this life and the life to come. Faith is an action word, it means we don't grow our faith without doing the very things that help us grow closer to our God. Moroni, the son of Mormon tells us in the Book of Mormon, that acting even on a twig of faith will allow God to grow it. In the words of President Eyring "If the foundation of Faith is not embedded in our hearts, the power to endure will crumble. That particle of faith most precious in which you should protect and use to whatever extent you can, is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. You and I have faith that the way to rise through and above trials, is to believe there is a balm in Gilead, and that the Lord has promised, I will not forsake thee. If we have faith in Jesus Christ, the hardest and as well as the easiest of times in life can be a blessing. In all conditions we can choose the right with the guidance of the spirit. We have the Gospel of Jesus Christ to shape and guide our lives if we choose it, we never need to feel alone or unloved in the Lords service because we never are. We can feel the love of God, the Savior has promised angels on our left and on our right to bear us up, and he always keeps his word. His love is unfailing." end quote.

If we dont have that faith that we can turn to and rely on when the trials or struggles in our lives become to much then we will fall. We will lose the power to continue and just like President Eyring says, we will crumble. I know that the love and power of the Saviors Atonement is the single most greatest thing on this Earth. We can turn to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to help us through all trials and all struggles. He will never leave us alone and he will never let us feel unloved, if we show and act upon the faith that we have. Let nothing stand in your way of building and growing your faith, in Jesus Christ. As you build the faith, I testify to you that you will never crumble, you will stand up to all that comes your way and you will feel a love in your life that will give you the strength to Endure to the End. I testify of the truthfulness of the Gospel and the beauty that is the atonement of Jesus Christ. Use it and see your faith in him grow. I say this in the sacred name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Upcoming Baptism!

This week was pretty cool because we got to take our own family name to the temple and do all the ordinances except for the sealing. It was way awesome, we also get to do the family history work for an hour a week and I have found a total of 30 names and have shared about half with the temple system but I am reserving the others so that I can do their work when I get the chance or just when I get home. But ya so that was really fun, and I think the Mission President is going to let us do that every 6 months, which is a miracle because there are like no other missionaries that are allowed to do anything but endowment but we get to do all of it now.

OH! also this Saturday I will be baptizing this little 8 year old girl who we have been teaching who only has a mom so the mom asked me to baptize her, so that is going to be my first baptism. So its not an investigator but it will still be the first baptism.

Tracting and Blessings!!

We have had some struggles with teaching, because our teaching pool has been empty now, which has sucked.  We pretty much had everyone in our teaching pool end up being dropped, and like for 4 days straight we tracted for hours and hours and hours... but we kept to it, but it being spring break here, it has been rough to find anybody. THen finally we decided to knock on one last door for the night and they answered, and it ended up being a fantastic lesson and now they are our new investigators. Their names are Shawn and Katy, and they were great, we even got Shawn to pray at the end of the lesson for the guidance to know that the Book of Mormon was true and it was awesome. The best part though was when I relayed the first vision in Joseph Smiths own words, and the spirit was ridiculous! They just said wow after I was done, so it was pretty good and we are going back tomorrow to see how they are doing and teach them the Plan of Salvation. So it was pretty exciting to finally see us being blessed for the amount of tracting we had done.

Anyway, other than that it has not been exciting, besides the fact of all the weird crazy people that answer their doors. My favorite is the people that say that we haven't received the Holy Ghost because we cant speak in tounges. Its the best, we have had two people just start spouting off gibberish acting like they are calling upon the holy ghost and using their gift of tounges, so it is pretty funny. Also all the people that slam the door on us, its just the best because it just makes me laugh. Anyways I will let you know when more things happen, it is slowly building up again though and it will be the best here soon when our area explodes with people!

Here is a link to a story the news in Houston did on missionaries! I was hoping to see Harrison at the conference that President Nelson attended but I didn't see him:(

www.abc13.com/1234890

Is email was short this week but he's still busy so I guess that's good!! He has been having members text me and send me pictures so I am so grateful for them and that they are taking good care of him!!

Not much has happened this week, just a lot of finding people
and tracting and such, but we have started teaching these two little girls
who have not yet been baptized in their families so they will be the next
people we baptize on like April 9th. So thats pretty exciting, one of them
is named Danielle and the other is Odella. Other than that its just a normal day,
we will be teaching a few
of our recent converts and such so that will be fun.
